Recycle your clothes: What to do with your old socks.

So many of us have old socks or odd socks that never get worn, they sit at the back of the drawer, but you can make some fun and interesting things with old socks, seriously!

  1. Leggings for toddlers.

If you have long socks, you can make a cute pair of leggings for a small child, simply cut the feet off at the appropriate length and sew a hem on the bottom. You can make them full length or three quarter length. These can then be used under a dress.

2. Glasses case.

Sounds odd right, but the socks don't even have to be very long to do this, simply add a button and buttonhole (or any kind of fastening, stick on Velcro is super fast) pop your glasses in and they are well protected.

3. Leg warmers.

You will need long socks for this, but simply cut the feet off and gather the socks and use as leg warmer.

4. Sock puppets.A timeless classic, stick or sew features onto a sock and keep your kids entertained for hours. Use bright coloured socks for this as studies have shown that bright colours and movement encourage cerebral development in babies.
