Recycle Your Clothes and Textiles in Prospect Heights
Neighborhood: Prospect Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11217
United States of America
Now that fall is in full swing, it is time to pack away those summer outfits for next year. Most people donate gently used clothing and throw out clothes that are stained or have a few holes here and there.

Instead of tossing your old clothes and textiles in the trash, consider recycling them with GrowNYC. According to GrowNYC, average New Yorkers throw away 46 pounds of unwanted clothing, linen, shoes and purses. These materials account for 6% of the waste we put in the landfills.

You can recycle your textiles at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket in Prospect Park. The Greenmarket is located near the northwest entrance of the park and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday in Prospect Heights.
