Recycling Your Website's Content

All successful webmasters know that "Content is King" and expend a great deal of time and money in filling the pages of their sites with good relevant content. The return on investment of any single webpage is still a finite proposition. There are various ways by which a webmaster can recycle the content from his website in new ways and increase both the reach and profitability of his existing web content.

Learn the truth about duplicate content. It is only bad for page ranking if it is on the same domain. Your web content can be restructured and submitted to article directories. Adding your author resource box is an instant backlink to your website. As other sites republish your article on their own site, your resource box stays with it and provides more backlinks. This not only increases the chance of visitors but also increases your ranking with search engines.

You can compile the pages of your website into an ebook. The PDF (portable document file) format is excellent as it allows you to hyperlink from the book to your website so people can follow the links out to your website for more information. This can also work well in E-zines and newsletters. In this format it is expected that you get a paragraph to interest one and then link to the full article onsite.

With ebooks, there are a number of ways to increase their effectiveness without charging any money at all for them. Your existing web copy can be compiled in various ways to create informative reports or email courses for an autoresponder series. With direct links back to your site, submitting these ebooks and reports to free ebook directories or giving them away as a "gift" for signing up to your opt-in list also spreads links to your website everywhere. Encourage recipients to give copies away to people they know.

It is not difficult to turn your web content into audio or video files. You can organize the articles in such a way as to be marketed as an instructional course. Video is especially good for demonstrating a product you are selling. As an audio file you can market your website content as an audio book.

Regardless of what format you recycle your website content into in other forms and products, it increases in value beyond your initial investment for the original web page articles.
