Red Alert 3: How to Beat a Brutal Computer Every Time

Red Alert 3 is a game in the command and conquer series made by Electronic Arts (EA). It is a real time strategy game that is fast paced and challenging.

The intelligence of the computer opponents has been increased from previous versions. There are 4 difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard, and brutal. In order to effectively beat a brutal computer you have to be quick. This is because the brutal computer can multitask significantly better than any human can possibly do. The brutal computers are very good at managing and collecting ore and resources while also focusing on defeating your with force.

I have found a great strategy to beat any brutal computer. It works best against a Soviet opponent, but can also be used against the Allies and Empire of the Rising Sun.

The strategy is to first build a power plant, and then build an ore refinery at one of the two in your base. Once the ore refinery is done, immediately build a war factory on the perimeter of your base near the opponent. During construction of the war factory, build either an anti-air or basic anti-infantry base defense gun. This will depend on what faction your opponent is. Once the war factory is done immediately build three terror drones (spiders) and have them be queued to immediately go to your enemy's base, but on the outside perimeter of the enemy.

Next, you will want to immediately build another ore refinery and base defense gun. Build the base defense gun that you did not build the first time. Once the first terror drone comes out of the war factory select it while it is on its way to the enemy's base and ctrl 1 it so that whenever you hit 1 you will select it. Do this to the next two terror drones that come out, make them ctrl 2 and ctrl 3.

Your terror drones will likely begin to make it near the enemy's base when your second ore refinery is complete. Once it is complete you will want to build a super reactor. In addition, you will need to hit 1 so that you select your first terror drone. Have it go to one of the enemy's ore refineries and take out their ore collector. Then hit 2 and have the second terror drone take out the second ore collector at the other refinery. If for some reason one of these terror drones dies you can use the third as a back-up. The goal of this strategy is to disable the enemy's resource collection as quickly as possible. Once the terror drones kill the ore collectors you may want to again move them to the perimeter of the enemy's base. Periodically use them to scout and potentially build any new ore collectors that are made.

During this time you will also need to look out for any oil derricks the enemy may have captured. Most maps that are designed for 1 versus 1 have 2 oil derricks on them. Thus you will want to build a few sickles at first and send them to the oil derricks to take out the enemies infantry and most importantly engineer. Once your super reactor is completed build several hammer tanks. Eventually you will want to get a barracks and some infantry for yourself. I would recommend that you destroy any oil derricks on the map as the brutal computers are quite difficult to beat. If you use this strategy and add your own elements you should beat a brutal computer in red alert 3 every time.

    hi Shawn actually i didn't tried ur strategy before, but i have a strategy to defeat brutal army by Japan:
    the Strategy is depending mostly like u said on the speed of building and here is the way i'm playing by:
    for the left hand i keep my fingers on the the bottoms F1 F2 F3 and the Bottom F(special)
    and when the game start immediately pressing many times f1 f1 f1 until the order of building the power planet done.when it comes out from the base directly f2 (barracks command building) while it's coming i open the power plane and do the same principle to build the barracks --> ore finery --> ore finery; when the first one ready directly update the barracks (first one) and build mechabay --> MECHABAY; WHEN THE FIRST ONE IS READY! UPDATE IT (FIRST UPDATE) when the second one ready --> order 8 mecha tango , directly when the first factory updated build the VX ( 8 VX) after u can already order some units from the barracks to defend ur base with the units that u ordered ( 100% it would be

    okay... if you use dojo rush, you should win everytime. send in 4 dojo cores and build 2 power plant in your base, then sell your base and capture the oil derreck with your engineer. Start spamming tank busters and rush it's base. Ai should be done in under 5 minute. if your opponent is Gile, you need 5 dojo cores.

    First, Terror Drone Rush won't work if ur playing against empire or allied, they can retreat their collecters near their war fac to get them fixed up

    Second, if u build a crusher crane first, you are able to build 2 defenses at one time

    Thrid, you should build a barracks 1st to train engineers to capture oil derricks. You might also wan 2 build expansion bases around the moment u have war fac (your base defenses should be able to fend off any attacks by now)

    Forth, you can build a superweapon much eariler than a brutal AI (on all fraction), just build 3 super reactor and u dun need 2 worry about power.

    Last, spamming twinblades is foolish, just use V4 or dreadnought defended by akulas or apoc with bull frogs and natasha should win the game easily.
