The crust was thin and crunchy but not extra crispy. The box only gave one set of instructions for cooking, not one set for softer crust and another for crispy crust like some frozen pizzas have. I might have cooked the pizza at a slightly lower tempature to try and keep the crust from becoming too hard. Still the crust was good and easy enough to eat.
The Red Baron Classic Crust Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza was different than most pizzas I have eaten. There was no pepperoni or tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was replaced with ranch sauce and of course the pepperoni was swapped out with Buffalo Style Chicken. Although there was cheese, there was not the other pizza toppings like green peppers and olives.
While I know the chicken is hot flavored, I'm not sure if the sause was spicy as well. All I know for sure is that the pizza was very hot and spicy. My invincible teenage son even had to grab a drink after a couple bites. He loved the Red Baron Classic Crust Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza and asked me to buy it for him again. My husband also thought it tasted great. As for myself, while it tasted great, I probably won't eat this again anytime soon. I felt like I was working to eat the pizza because of the heat. I swallowed so much drink in an effort to stop the burn that I filled up on liquids instead of pizza.
I would gladly buy and serve Red Baron Classic Crust Buffalo Style Chicken frozen pizza to my friends and family again. I will make sure not to feed it to anyone with a stomach problem like ulcers or heartburn though.
The Red Baron Classic Crust Buffalo Style Chicken was bought at Kroger for about six dollars. But most Red Baron brand frozen pizzas can be found at most large stores like Walmart, Target, Big Kmart and more.
