Red Paint

Terdell Lee Johnson
The paint brush dipped by the Heavenly hand,

Mixes the paint covering every strand.

This paint is not common, bland, or ordinary

But purposeful, divine, and quite necessary.

The red paint was squeezed from righteous flesh

As wrath and judgment tore it like mesh.

And what for? And why, if you must know?

All humans with wicked deeds daily to sow.

Ungrateful, Unthankful, Hateful, Doubtful are we

Malicious, Uncaring, Non-loving, Unfaithful the eyes of God to see.

No hope for our deeds.

No hope for our needs.

What now?-----Is there hope at all?

Or will every soul answer to Hell's cackling call?

Every human is diabolically taint.

But can be purified by God's red paint.

The brush will flow as the paint drizzles down

In the sight God 's upside-down frown

Making a sinner into a saint

Due to God's divine red paint

It never cracks or needs another coat.

It never cracks or needs another coat

....it never cracks or needs another coat.
