The hottest holiday of the summer is quickly approaching. The 4th of July will be here before you know it, so it's a good idea to start planning your celebration now. A party or barbecue isn't complete without cold refreshing drinks for everyone.

While many people enjoy a nice cooler or cocktail, not every one drinks alcohol. There may also children at the party which means that you need to have other beverages available. This is why it is very important for the host to also provide drinks that everyone can enjoy. Instead of just offering guests a bottle of water or a can of soda, prepare a few fun red, white and blue 4th of July drinks for your family and friends.

Flavored drinks and punches look like they take a lot of time and effort to make but they are actually very simple to prepare. Most only require a short list of ingredients and can be made very quickly. The use of fresh garnishes and festive glasses will make any drink complete and are sure to impress your guests this summer.

Raspberry Lemonade:

This is an extremely simple raspberry lemonade recipe that your guests will love. It only calls for three ingredients and can be made in just a few minutes. You can also turn this into a frozen drink by putting it into the freezer to freeze up a bit before you serve it. Kids and adults alike will love this refreshing red 4th of July drink!

Ingredients:

2 liters of Sprite soda

1 bag of frozen raspberries

1 can of lemonade from concentrate

Instructions:

Blend together the Sprite soda, frozen raspberries and lemonade from concentrate in a blender or food processor until smooth.

White Drink Recipes for your 4th of July Party

Virgin Pina Colada

This is a non-alcoholic version of your classic pina colada that all of your guests can enjoy. It is also the perfect white color to go along with the red white and blue theme of your 4th of July party or celebration. Enjoy this delicious creamy coconut drink by the pool or at the picnic table.

Ingredients:

½ cup of coconut milk

1 cup of pineapple juice

½ cup of heavy cream

2 tablespoons sugar

1 ½ cups of ice

sliced pineapple

maraschino cherries

Instructions:

Blend together the coconut milk, pineapple juice, heavy cream, sugar and ice in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Serve with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry

Blue Drink Recipe for your 4th of July Party

Blue Fruit Punch

This gorgeous bright blue punch will surprise your guests at your 4th of July party this summer. The vanilla ice cream makes it cold and creamy while the sprite soda adds a delicious lemon lime flavor. The best part of course is the color! It will keep your guests coming back glass after glass.

Ingredients:

2 liters of Sprite soda

2 cups of pineapple juice

1 pint of vanilla ice cream

1 cup of sugar

1 package of blue Kool-Aid

Instructions:

First, combine the Sprite, pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream and blue Kool-Aid and stir together in a large punch bowl

Next, mix in the sugar until it is dissolved.

Finally, scoop the vanilla ice cream and add the scoops to the punch.
