Within the physical realm, matter and energy cannot be created, nor destroyed; but the metaphysical realm is not bound by the laws the the physical realm.
As mentioned in the Bible, God is the "I am". The Holy Spirit has always been, but he has never "been" according to the human understanding.
To "redefine" God is not blasphemy, as a definition is just a way to understand something. Questioning what you believe in is a healthy practice, because without it, a person is vulnerable to gullibility and identified as being narrow-minded. To be narrow-minded on a wrong path is being misguided.
The Holy Spirit reaches out to people at different times throughout history in different ways, according to what people need and where they're at maturity-wise.
Throughout history, there have been many people who didn't even know who Jesus was, who Siddhartha was, or who Mohammad was. But everyone experiences the presence of something beyond themselves.
If a person has the capability to synchronize with the the metaphysical realm, manipulating it by their will, they can create something physical.
The metaphysical and physical realms are intertwined, as if being knitted together. That is the Holy Spirit's way.
If any religion believes that another religion is evil, they must ask themselves, "Does the other religion share any of the good qualities that my religion does?" Maliciousness will not foster benevolence, so why would Satan give people Hope through a "false religion"? Hope and love can only come from something that is good.
Why would a benevolent creator ever send it's own creations to hell? If you're going to punish your own child for doing something you told him not to, would you take him to the back yard and say, "Your punishment is to spend eternity in a lake of fire?" Of course not. Hopefully, no parent is like that.
If humans are capable of this kind of understanding, then wouldn't an omniscient, loving creator be capable of so much more?
This kind of understanding, in a nutshell, answers the question of if there is a creator (which there is), and what kind of characteristics are attributed to him (benevolence). But as humans, we know the difference between what's right and what's wrong. If we have the understanding, then there must actually be something that is wrong. A malicious presence is just as real as a benevolent presence. Call it whatever you want (because a name is just a name) - Satan, demons, ghosts, vampires - it's out there to hurt us, and we cannot give in to it.
To shun another based on a belief is counter-productive to the principle of benevolence. If you destructively criticize another person because their beliefs don't share the same details as your own, you're working against the method of benevolence. The Holy Spirit wants to draw as many people to itself so that maliciousness cannot grasp them. Why would you be one to destroy that connection between another person and God?
The God that can be named is not the eternal name. The God that can be understood is not the complete understanding of God. Names are just words, which are just comprehensible linguistic components communicated by method of vibrations through the air. To call it God, Allah, or Nirvana will not offend it. As long as you accomplish the goal to commune with the almighty being (which is evident by your thoughts and actions), you've accomplished what it has in store for you.
"Now imagine me standing in lodge with my head bowed in prayer between Brother Mohammed Bokhary and Brother Arjun Melwani. To neither of them is the Great Architect of the Universe perceived as the Holy Trinity. To Brother Bokhary He has been revealed as Allah; to Brother Melwani He is probably perceived as Vishnu. Since I believe that there is only one God, I am confronted with three possibilities:

- They are praying to the devil whilst I am praying to God;
- They are praying to nothing, as their Gods do not exist;
- They are praying to the same God as I, yet their understanding of His nature is partly incomplete (as indeed is mine '" 1 Cor 13:12)
It is without hesitation that I accept the third possibility...

Post a CommentWell, all I can say is:
Although I thought the article was written well, it "seemed" biased to me. Then again, I think that individual paths are exactly that; "individual" and while many persons need the affirmation of others I think that we are all growing at different rates and at different times. Still, it's a well written article - that's my two cents.
Now it appears to be letting me comment here. Like I said in the forum, great article and very thought provoking. The question I also asked in the forum was if you don't believe there is a hell what do you think it means in the bible when it mentions such things? Perhaps symbolism? I am a Christian myself and again this article is well written and very thought provoking. Great job! Oh, and perhaps you will write another article on hell. It could make for another whole article!
