Rediscovering Your Personal Interests

Find Your Happiness and Light

Denise
One thing that never changes in life is the eventual decision to give up. It is as if life taught us a very hard lesson which told us to grow up, and get over the things that truly made us happy a long time ago. This is funny in a dark comedic way when you think of how children and teenagers are today. These adolescents never change in their enthusiasm and actual belief that they can accomplish what ever they set their minds to. Young people are so full of dreams some of which seem impossible to reach. Nevertheless, they go for it regardless before life hits them to change their direction. Some of the dreams are not to be a rock star, but something else that life discourages us from. Have you ever stopped to think about the past and what made you happy? Have you ever tried to figure out why it was so important for you to give it up as just another useless dream?

How do you know it is a useless dream? There are inventors, CEO's and celebrities who broke through obstacles to reach the top. So, I figure why can't we do the same? It seems that the careers we choose are reduced to only the amount of money you can get from them to live the lifestyle of your dreams. In fact, I've heard people complain about hating a job that they make over $20 per hour. Everyone is always happy on Fridays, because they have a few days or rest away from the office. On the other hand, multi-billionaire Donald Trump says he NEVER takes a vacation. Singer Mariah Carey says she doesn't consider what she does to be work. They are successful people we all love to hate, so we spend some of our pay checks on dirt from the media to make ourselves feel better. The new is that is doesn't work, because we are still at the day jobs we feel we must do for the money. This job doesn't pay us enough to live like we want to, but it is the only choice we have at a living. With all of that to think about no wonder our childhood dreams die.

It is the task of doing what we have to, and pushing aside what we love that kills our spirit. Then we attempt to break the spirit of others who still has dreams as a mercy kill. Now, it is time to reconnect to the ideals we enjoyed once upon a time in our youth. We must shoot down the idea of letting go of the dreams we had. it is time to retrieve them from the deep recesses of our minds, and dig up those old rusty dusty dreams we left behind. When you think about it, you will realize that there was nothing wrong with those dreams. Moreover, you will recover a part of yourself that has been missing selflessly for the sake of all others. When you find yourself by rekindling the essence that makes you who you are there should be peace.

A great peace inside you that actually feels...Natural for a change. I keep hearing stories about how people do things for others never thinking about themselves. It is time for your family, true friends and others to step out of the way like you did for them. You should be given your moment to become who you truly are. Becoming who you truly are is embracing all the things that make you who you are. There are good and bad traits about everyone, but the most important thing to hold on to is you. You are an individual who likes certain colors, foods, books, music and sports. Moreover, you have opinions in politics, religion and fashion. The purpose to contemplating about these things are to get you into the ideal life you wish to have. For instance, there are steps you must take that would help you achieve your dream.

1) Find your true talent or what your interests are: You could be a person who is good with coming up with ideas, invention or the arts. Whatever you love the best whether it be one or more interests you should start there.

2) Make a plan to achieve it: Now that you know where you interests lay, it is time to find out more about the area. For example, you will have to research the field
for necessary skills you must educate yourself with, costs, the industry, and materials. The more you know on a subject the better prepared you will be when the opportunity comes. Save money to finance your dream, sell unwanted stuff, or find work like www.associatedcontent.com to help you get the funds.

3) Get on the band wagon: In other words, GO FOR IT! It will be fun and informative. With some interests it may seem to drag a little, but when you get the hang of it you'll have a blast. Now you are actually doing what you want to do, and it makes you feel fulfilled. Fulfillment is a feeling where you have no hunger, and the empty space inside no longer has to be filled.

4) Envision and imagine it: This is the time where you can see in your mind, and feel with your heart the life you wish to have. Do you want to be a writer, dancer, actor, video game creator, filmmaker, inventor, athlete, cook, musician, singer, chef, doctor, lawyer, scientist, CEO, e.t.c? Can you see you dream home in your head as you walk through it imagining living in it normally as if you have it? Do you have a specific income in mind like a six figure or possibly seven?
Do you want to be an entrepreneur, netrepreneur, or work for a specific company? Do you want to travel the world and tell others about it? Then, look at life as it is. These things have already been achieved by others who were driven in their efforts to reach the goal. Since it has already happened for someone else who probably been put down too, why can't you do the same? Go on, and reach for the stars.
