Ingredients
Serves 10
1/4 cup Butter
1/4 cup Powdered Cocoa
3-8 ounce packages Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Sour Cream
4 Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 Packaged Cheesecake Crust
1 1/4 cup Artificial Sweetener
Directions for Reduced Sugar Chocolate Cheesecake
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.2
Blend the butter with the cocoa, until the mixture feels smooth and you cannot find any lumps of cocoa.3
Blend the cream cheese until it has a smooth consistency and you work out any lumps. Incorporate the vanilla, sour cream, eggs, and artificial sweetener. Add in the butter and cocoa mixture.4
Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and place inside a larger baking dish. Add enough water that it reaches halfway up the sides of the cheesecake. Bake the mixture for one hour and five minutes. The chocolate cheesecake is done when it has a firm top and does not wiggle when you shake the pan.Tip
You can make your own crust, using butter and reduced sugar or sugar-free cookies. Crumble the cookies into crumb-size pieces and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of the baking dish and bake for 5-10 minutes.
