Reed Krakoff handbags combine quality and utility. If you share the critics' enthusiasm for this new luxury brand from the former creative director at Coach, these are 5 handbags from the fall 2010 Reed Krakoff Collection. The bags work much better than the website links so just return to the main page if they keep stalling.

Boxer I: Structured handbags are very popular for fall 2010 but many of them can't hold very much. This Reed Krakoff handbag combines a businesslike shape with a roomy interior that really works. Done in glazed ostrich in the designer's signature gray, it features rhodium hardware. There's a practical inside front and back zip pocket, center panel zip pocket, and front split pocket. The bag is lined in leather with dimensions of about 12 inches by 15 inches and a depth of almost 5 inches. ($7650)

Utility Messenger II: Upgrade your old messenger bag look with this stylish flannel and python version. This Reed Krakoff handbag features vibrated nickel hardware with 2 inside pockets and a twill fabric lining. It's about 12 by 15 inches and 6.5 inches deep. ($2450)

RK Ribbon Tote: This simple upright tote is done in hand-burnished leather and comes in several colors including smoke with an allover pattern of raised stitching along vertical pleats. It features black nickel hardware and 2 inside pockets on a leather lining. The dimensions are about 15 by 12 inches with a 6 inch depth. ($890)

510 Tote II: If you prefer a barrel shaped tote, you'll enjoy this anthracite version in tumbled grain leather with an oiled texture. The black nickel hardware includes an interior t-pin closure. Lined in leather with 2 inside pockets, it's almost 17.5 inches long and 5.5 inches deep. ($1290)

Laced Cadet II: For a softer look, this hobo bag comes in haircalf in several colors including moss, dark brown and black. It has black nickel hardware and a twill fabric lining with 2 interior pockets. This bag is about 15 by 18 inches with a depth of 2 inches. ($1490)

The Reed Krakoff Collection is available online or at many Saks Fifth Avenue stores, and includes sumptuous sportswear and a full line of accessories. In addition to the Tokyo boutique, the first U.S. store decorated in "RK gray" just opened on Madison and 69th Street in New York. A Las Vegas store will open later this month. Get your own Reed Krakoff handbag, and you'll understand why he was named Accessories Designer of the Year twice by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
