Reese Witherspoon Engaged to Jim Toth, Hollywood Agent Extraordinaire

Shortly after Hollywood superstar Natalie Portman announced she was engaged to her Black Swan choreographer and co-star (and soon to bear his child) another female actress has announced big news. Reese Witherspoon is engaged to her boyfriend, Jim Toth.

Some might not have expected her relationship with Jim Toth to become so lasting; after all, he was kind of the rebound guy after Witherspoon's relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal fizzled away. There's a nice symmetry to the engagement though, considering that the pair began dating in January of 2010 and they became engaged in December of that same year.

This will be the second marriage for Reese, who was previously married to Ryan Phillippe before divorcing him in 2008. Both her children are with Phillippe.

Speaking of children, they were reportedly the key to winning Witherspoon's heart as far as Jim Toth was concerned. His positive interaction with the kids helped solidify his place in their mother's life.

When he isn't winning the heart of one of America's most endearing actresses, Jim Toth is working for Creative Artists Agency, where he heads the Motion Picture Talent department. Incidentally, there is no real conflict of interest here as Toth does not represent his bride-to-be directly. That honor falls to his co-workers Bryan Lourd. Toth is responsible for several A-list actresses, however, including one who is in the middle of a divorce: actress Scarlett Johansson.

Since it is early in the engagement process, there are not that many details revealed as to what kind of wedding the couple will be having and when it will be held.

Jim Toth is 40 years old. Witherspoon is 34. She is an Academy Award winning actress, having taken home the prize for Best Actress after her performance as June Carter Cash in "Walk the Line," which co-starred Joaquin Phoenix.
