I don't know what's wrong here.
I stare at the picture, and I believe it's a happy scene,
but all I feel deep within my bones is sadness.

The man's smile, with all its dazzling whiteness,

It pains me to see someone trying so hard to be happy,
although they know they really aren't.
It makes it even worse when I realize
that I am not looking at a picture,
but directly in a mirror.
