As I gaze
Into the pool
Of life
Looking back at me
I see strife
Not a happy reflection
Upon this water so cool
The birds up above
Flying off
To somewhere afar
Abandoning this desolation
This winter is cruel
But I will stay
Remain here
Like a fool
I should really follow
Me and my love
All I need do
Is to jump
Into the car
And head off
Towards a new location
When I get
To where I arrive
I know not
Until I get there
What will I find there
What I strive for
If it is warmer
If it be hot
If I have the warm sun
Upon my face
Where it is
I care not
