Reflections on Revelations; The Last Words of God Explained

Jesus Died Because of Mans Sin, and in Doing so Paved the Way for Other People to Follow

John Savage
This article is based on the book of Revelations in the Holy Bilbe. I personally believe this to be one of the most important books in the Bible. Being the last book written, by someone, and scholars are still debating who, named John. This is the last testament of Jesus, a message that was sent to a believer. An important message that cannot be ignored for it is an omen of the things to come.

Rev. 4:11-

"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

What does this mean?

What I believe this passage is saying is that God is in fact creation itself. Creation is God, and should be revered as such. If we disrespect and defile Gods creation, then we are also disrespecting and defiling God.

Rev. 5:9-10-

"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God, from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

What is being said here?

To me the message of this passage is very clear. Jesus died because of mans sin, and in doing so paved the way for other people to follow. Jesus is the one who is worthy because He led a righteous life, and was therefore the light of the way of man. However, if all of us keep Gods word, we will also be blessed. We should all be willing to die for the lord and the principals He taught us, for He would, and has, done the same for us.

Rev. 5:12-

"Worthy is the Lamb who is slain, to receive power and wealth and strength and honor and glory and praise."

What does Jesus want us to do?

Simply put, Jesus wants us to live in the way that He did. Worthy is every Lamb who dies for the Lord. Your principals must be as unshakable as Jesus. If we don't fight back against evil, and sacrifice ourselves and our lives for goodness, then evil wins. Your life on this earth is but a speck in eternity, and the good fight must be fought by those who believe in goodness.

Rev. 7:10-

"Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb."

What is the Lamb?

The Lamb is usually understood to be a reference to Jesus, and is. However, it is also a reference to all those who live the Lords life, and fights the good fight. The Lamb is a spiritual warrior, one who fights, and lives, in the name of God. All those Lambs will be worthy of the kingdom of heaven that is soon to come. We must live, and teach, the word of God and live in His way to be worthy.

Rev. 7:12-

"Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"

Why glorify God?

We must show the Lord thanks for His wisdom and the gifts He gives us. Thankfulness breeds mindfulness, and mindfulness breeds respect. This is the one thing very few people have these days that could make a colossal difference in the world. If we were more appreciative of His gifts, then we would admire them, including our fellow man, more. If we were all as worried about everyone else as we are for ourselves, there would be no unfortunate people, only those with brothers and sisters who cared. Let me sight an example for you. Would you spit in Gods face? Would you hoard Gods gifts? Would you be racist against your God, if His skin was a different color? Well I would hope not. But by doing these things here on earth, that is exactly what we are doing to God Himself.

Rev. 7:16-17-

"Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to the springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

What is the meaning of this passage?

When the kingdom of God comes to this earth, and people live righteously, there will be no want. God has given us everything we need to live well. There is plenty of food and there is plenty of water. However, mans greed has misused these recourses, along with all others, to a point where there are those who do without so others can have more than they need. Once people understand and live the teachings, and the word of God, this will no longer happen and everyone will have what they need. This, my friends, is the kingdom of God. The return to the Garden of Eden is in our hands.

Rev. 11:15-

"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever."

How does this affect us?

The kingdom of the Lord will come, and people will live righteously and treat each other well. We are all Gods children, we are brothers and sisters, and when the kingdom of the Lord comes we will treat each other as such. Through His example we will teach His way of living and the world and the race shall be healed. We, however, must make this happen through prayer and through leading by example. We are here to help each other and love one another as God loves us.

Rev. 11:17-

" We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the one who is, and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. This is the time for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophet, and your saints, and those who reverence your name, both small and great and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

God knows our hearts because He is in them. With His mercy we will be judged by our hearts, and we will be judged rightly. Those who refuse to live righteously will be destroyed, for there is no room in Gods kingdom for evil. To destroy the earth is to destroy the works of God. This is blasphemy. We must learn to live with the earth to ensure our survival and the Garden of Eden that God created, and what we have destroyed, shall return to the earth.

Rev. 14:7-

"Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water."

Why is this passage important?

This passage is important because we must remember who it is that created us and the earth, and show these creations of God proper respect. This is one of the things that we are judged on. We are the keepers of the earth, here to help it grow and become beautiful. We are not the Lords of this earth, nor was it created for our selfish ends.

Rev. 14:13-

"...Blessed are the dead who die in the name of the Lord from now on... Yes... they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow there."

What does this mean?

Those who serve the Lord are blessed, and those who die in His name, as Jesus did, are even more so. We must be willing to sacrifice all in His name. The works that we perform now will follow us always. It is Gods law that all that we sow, so shall we reap. Our good works, no matter how small, are important to Him and our future as a race.

Rev. 15:4-

"...Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways. King of the ages, who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy, all nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

What is the message here?

When the kingdom of God is come, all will be revel in the greatness of the Lord. With the respect that we should show to our parents, who brought us into this world, we should respect God and all of His works, for we were created out of His love, therefore we should emulate love always, for all things. Love as God has loved you.

Rev. 16:5-

"... You are just in these judgments, you who are, and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged, for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve."

What is this gruesome message?

Well it's not gruesome if you live a righteous life. Those who live in greed and hate shall be judged accordingly. They are the ones that will suffer the eternal death, for they have chosen such by their works. If you don't wish to suffer this penalty you must begin to live right. You must love thy neighbor as you would love yourself, so that it can be possible to have Gods kingdom on this earth. This is the message that Jesus gave to us, and He died for our sins, the sins that lead up to His death, greed, lust, power and murder.

Rev. 22:7-

"Behold I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophesy in this book."

Why should I do so?

Now is the time to repent and change our lives, for the Lord shall come and judge, and then it will be too late. The time is soon; just read the news to see what the works of Satan have wrought. Evil has spread its hand over the world and the eyes of Gods children. We must fight; we must change and make the world back into the image of God. Read Revelations study it; know its words well, for this book was a gift from God. This is a warning of what is to come and a message of hope for those who wish to see the day.

Rev. 22:6-

"...These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, The God of the spirits and of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place."

Isn't this the same message?

Yes! We were given the gift of site so we may know the penalties of our actions; choose wisely for the time is near. This is one of the most important messages in the Bible today. The people of this generation especially need to hear, and live by, this message, for time is short, and our chances have been all used up.

Rev. 22:12-

"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

WOW that's heavy!

This is a perfect closing to this section. Everything that needs to be said is included in this scripture. God is creation, and He is coming soon. Repent, teach and live by His words. Do His works, or the penalty is death.

Thank you for joining me and hearing what I have to say. I don't pretend to know it all but I do believe that the Lord speaks through us all. Know thy heart for that is by which we will be judged.

You're mostly doing fine, but have neglected to make that final "leap of faith". All that's needed to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven is to acknowledge who the King is, and then live you life that way. Think that's easy? Try it. The hard part is to not get distracted and fall back into the world of sin. The bad thing about sin is that it prevents you from seeing God. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." When I'm good I see God everywhere, because that's where He is.

The final judgement is coming for all of us sooner than we know. When are you going to die? I don't know that either, for me or for you. I do know that once that does happen, you're out of chances to do better. If you believe that conciousness goes on after physical life, then your "state of mind", for lack of a better term, will no doubt make a difference as to your "state of grace" or lack thereof in eternity. Death comes "like a thief in the night". Will you be ready?

As for the benefits of "being saved" in THIS life, when you do it right, God sees the world through your eyes, gives you words to speak through your mouth, and uses your hands to perform His work here on Earth. You just sit back and let the Holy Ghost drive, and admire the wonderous way that God does things. If that's not the way it works for you, you lack faith and understanding. That's the way it works because that's how God made the world, and the fact that He is the Trinity: the Father who created it all, the Son who is God manifested in the flesh, and the Holy Ghost who is unconciously present in all of us, but can be awakened and become the Son. The Bible tells us that Jesus taught His deciples to cast out demons and heal the sick. Do you believe that Jesus used "God Magic" to convey talents to them that are beyond the hope of the rest of us, or that He awoke slumbering talent in them? As children we have the sight and percieve God's creation with wonder. As we grow up, we gradually become blind. A "born again" Christian can regain it, and it's much more useful when coupled with the greater understanding and power of an adult body.

So much is lost, but it can be found again. Take communion. To the common Christian congregation, it's something you do at a special service. Jesus was giving us another tool to use to constantly "stay in touch" with God. He said, "do this as often as ye eat and drink". God IS the universe, so whenever and whatever you eat and drink, it's really His body and His blood. It pays untold dividends to be mindful of that.

BTW, in the analysis of Rev. 22:6 you say "the gift of site", which should be "sight". Even the best spell checker can't catch a typo like that.

God bless you, and help you keep up the good work!

  • Thank god for the dinnosaur crap!1/23/2009

Creation is evolution, god is love and his will is done and his will was in the beging to create. To start a project first you create, life is the design. The design comes from love and his love is perfect so is the scheme of work, creation has an aim and that is to be perfect, so the life in all the universe evolves with time, due to god being a great designer of a way, he programed it and it and the life adapted to go on! After all why make something in which you have to continue to recreate to get through, his creation is perfect and perfection is the nature of nature. It evolves to suit the moment, the dinnosaurs were big and hungry they lived on flesh and pine needles and fern types, grasses, there was no flowers or leafs on trees due to the lack of soil, why? earth was young and mostly bare rock , there was no rich soil to take a hold upon, untill 165 million years of crapping by the dinnosaurs, this is what gave the way for soil. Then their reign was ended so smaller less deman
