Having taken classes at the Greenleaf Art Center, located at 1806 West Greenleaf in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, I have to say that I enjoy the Winter Session classes the most. I took the Drawing Fundamentals class because I was a beginner, and wanted to learn the basics before I moved on to anything more complicated. I also took the Figure Drawing class, which was an experience in itself, because not only did I learn to draw the human shape, they actually brought in live models.

The classes lasted for eight weeks and were held one day a week. In fact, one of my classes was held on a Sunday, which gave me a break because I didn't have to rush on over and fight the traffic after work.

Sign-ups for the Winter Session classes are being held now for classes that start on January 16, 2011 and run through March 6, 2011. Some of the classes being offered include Painting and Drawing, Watercolor, Quick Drawing, and the one which I am looking forward to -- the Knitter's Workshop. I even purchased two gift certificates for two of my friends so they could take the class with me.

If you want to sign-up for any of the classes being offered in the Winter Session, call 773-465-4652, or sign up through their website.
