Regression Transformation

A functioning adult in the early morning
When the rooster announced the sun's arrival
A living breathing Einstein in the flesh
Can solve mathematical equations before breakfast
Which consists of Wheat Toast and Orange Juice
Singing along to Genesis and The Pretenders on the radio
Whistling while working through the murky morning drive on I-95
Happy to be around the nine to five friends in the trenches
Irritated that those friends are trecherous snakes in the grass
Leaving paper crumbs under their makeshift desks
Punching out at five and leaving an office nuclear disaster behind
Blood boiled over in the tiny metal pot on the stove
Rusted over by lack of care and too much baked on Tomato Sauce
Ready to throw the kitchen timer out the window when it rings
Giving up the painstaking effort of preparing Thanksgiving Dinner
Would rather eat a Hungry Man frozen meal instead
Getting rid of the Office mop once the mess has been eradicated
Turning into a Pumpkin and ready to be a blubbering mess
As the clock struck midnight
Leading to a whole new cycle of mundane behavior and madness
Let the fun begin.
