Regular Olive Oil Relaxer Kit by Organic Root Stimulator: Hair Care Product Review
Will it Straighten Your Hair Without Causing Damage?
The Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Relaxer Kit comes with a lot more products than the average relaxer. One kit contains a no-lye activator, a relaxing cream, an olive oil creamy aloe shampoo, a replenishing pak, an olive oil wrap set mousse, and an olive oil rich moisturizing hair lotion.
After parting my hair into four equal parts. I began to apply the Olive Oil Relaxer to my roots (after I mixed the activator and relaxing cream together). When I was done applying the relaxer I began to smooth out my roots as quickly as possible so that I could prevent scalp and hair damage. The roots smoothed out really easily, even though my hair is very coarse, thick, and coils tightly. By this time some areas of my scalp were tingling a bit so it was irritating, but it didn't burn my scalp.
When I finished smoothing my roots, I rinsed as much of the relaxer from my hair as I could and then shampooed away the rest of the residue from my hair. The aloe shampoo lathered really easily and detangled my hair really well, since it tangles very easily when it's relaxed. The shampoo also didn't dry out my hair when I used it.
After towel drying my hair for a few seconds I applied the replenshing pak to my hair which is basically a rich deep condtioner that's chock full of great ingredients for the hair. Even though it looks thick it didn't feel like it was weighing my hair down and it did replenish the moisture that I'd lost from the relaxer and it made my hair feel really soft.
I skipped using the olive oil mousse and moisturizing hair lotion because I wanted to use my own hair care products since I've established a hair routine for myself, but I wish I would have tried the mousse because the Olive Oil Relaxer got my hair really straight and it took away a lot of it's usual volume. The day that I relaxed my hair it had a little bounce but it eventually fell flat and it felt a bit dried out a few days later. If I ever used this relaxer again I'd be sure to use at least one of the styling products that the kit contains.
I have to say that I really liked the Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Relaxer Kit just as much as I like the relaxer from Profectiv. It straightened my hair about 15% better than the Profective Brand and it wasn't harsh. I'd recommend this relaxer to women of color who's hair isn't damaged and who have really coarse hair like me. Just be sure to use at least one of the styling products that the kit contains for optimum results.

my hair is breaking and i don't what relaxer to use.. will Olive Oil be best for my hair??
i've ben using this for 2 years now and i have to say that no other relaxer has left my hair so straight and moisturized and at the same time bouncy and shiny. I'm from the Caribbean so i'm multiracial and nothing gets my hair tame but this. Also to the ladies who say this didn't work, if your hair is damaged from the get go your hair will break or fall out regardless of what products you use.
im puerto rican and black and as you can probably imagine my hair is naturally curly but I dont like my curls too much because my hair is soooo thick. So about 6 years ago I tried the Organic Root Stimulator Normal version and it made my hair feel and look healthy, long and shiny. For my hair I only need relaxers twice a year, right now im in dire need of a relaxer so Im on my way out to buy one, I had a baby 7 months ago and all the anethesia they gave me in the hospital made my hair fall out so i decided to wait to do a relaxer. But this is the only relaxer I can use. I love Organic Root Stimulator

well i relaxed my hair using da Organic Olive Oil relaxer n it did me great. I love the fact that my hair is shiny bouncy and most of all has alot of volume. Alot of us in Jamaica use this product.
