Reicpe For a Banana Dessert

Xian So So
I have particularly vicious sweet tooth and an affinity for fruit desserts; apples and banana's are my favorite.

This dessert is quick, easy and very kid friendly; a great substitute for boring chocolate chip cookies. Although, what the heck is wrong with boring, chewy, chocolaty warm cookies? Not a thing, the mundane can be delicious.

Nonetheless ....

Pre-heat your oven to 350 F.

Take some ripe banana's and filo pastry, in a mixing bowl put the banana's diced into small pieces, semi-sweet chocolate crumbled, a squirt of lemon juice and half a teaspoon of sugar, mix it well.

Take about five sheets of filo pastry, cut length wise, put the banana mix in a corner or centre depending on your preference for a pouch or triangle shape.

Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Roll the concoction up and put in the oven for ten minutes.

Remove, let cool for three minutes and serve warm.

Try substituting apples or nectarines for variaty.

My favorite dessert is an apple crumble; I'll share that decadent recipe next time.
