Reiki's Marriage to Crystal Healing
The Art of Using Crystal Healing Along with Reiki Therapy to Achieve Maximum Results and Pure Healing
The use of crystals and crystal healing in the art of Reiki practices has been becoming more and more common, and has in fact been said by many to be doubly effective in healing those problems that have a spiritual or other metaphysical aspect to them. Those who feel they've been poisoned by stress, depression, and anxiety have been happier with their Reiki results if crystals were in use.
Clear quartz crystal is most common in Reiki practices, and it's uses in other practices and healing variations makes it abundantly clear as to why it's so popular. Clear quartz crystal is the easiest to use for healing in this manner - in that it's incredibly absorbent, and while Reiki uses many motions that pass over the body like a scanner, the crystal in the practitioner's hand can suck up any negative energies and pains as it passes.
Many people explain their experience with clear quartz Reiki practice as "rejuvenating", and many even claimed that they could feel the stress being "sucked out" as the practitioner's hand that clutched the quartz crystal passed over their body. Using amethyst is also useful in this way, and is used in Reiki to aid in healing people who are the victims of poor sleeping patterns or insomnia.
Using tinted quartz over the solar plexus and heart area during your Reiki session can greatly increase your susceptibility to the practice itself. Feeling those bag energies and bad feelings becoming absorbed into a cold crystal can bring your mind to that calm, meditative state that you need for your Reiki experience to be a complete success.
During your Reiki session, when you find yourself on your stomach with your practitioner using the over-back hand motions, ask him or her to use a piece of moonstone or aquamarine as they pass over your entire back. These two stones are particularly good at centering, and can bring the rest of your body, as well as your meditative mind, to that calm serene place. Many Reiki practitioners carry several pieces of moonstone just for this purpose, so don't hesitate to ask.
When practicing Reiki by yourself, for yourself, it's still just as simple and effective to use crystals. Following the proper hand motions, you can hold one in each hand. Be sure you use crystals or stones that can counter-balance each other, though. For instance, in one hand, an amethyst crystal to calm and make your mind sedentary, and in the other hand, a piece of malachite to excite your senses and heighten awareness. Balancing yourself this way can bring a balance and peace to your body and mind, making the Reiki healing process go over more smoothly and give you longer lasting effects.
Achieving a balanced, peaceful state of mind and a body free of poisons and pain is ultimately what you would hope to achieve. Using crystals properly during your Reiki experience may truly give you that healed feeling that will keep you using them this way again and again.
