Relationship Advice for Women: Knowing How to Save a Relationship and If You Should

Angie M
Dating and relationship advice for women all tends to sound the same. While many may focus on aspects of beauty, there is much more to the game. Knowing how to save a relationship is based on numerous aspects, including focusing on yourself. The truth is, focusing the majority of time on your partner and how to please them, is one of the worst pieces of relationship advice for women. Those looking for real dating advice and who really want to know how to save a relationship should focus on a few key things.

Relationship Tip #1

Everything doesn't always have to be about "us". Spending time apart can be good. Not only does this bring something new to the relationship, but makes for an element of surprise. Spending time alone or with friends is just as important as spending time with a partner. Maintaining a separate identity is also a must to having a happy, secure relationship. This can also serve as a crucial make it or break it point for those trying to save a relationship.

Relationship Tip #2

Most relationship advice for women will often insist on opening lines of communication. However, unhappiness in this sense may just be based on the lack of communication from the female partner. Badgering a boyfriend or husband to talk usually isn't the answer. Stating needs in a non confrontational and ordinary manner is often all that is needed, without further discussion.

Relationship Tip #3

Sometimes, it's not about knowing how to save a relationship. Not all relationships are meant to last. Knowing when to cut your losses is key. When partners disagree on key issues, such as whether or not they want a family, morals, and issues of significance to the other partner it may be time to call it quits. Relationship advice for women that is sheerly based on saving a relationship does a serious disservice.

Relationship advice doesn't have to be difficult to follow or understand. These simple relationship tips can enhance and sometimes save a relationship in chaos. Point blank though, if a relationship is toxic, it's probably not worth saving in the first place.
