Relationship Statuses on Facebook Suck

AmyBrowne
Relationship status is one of the parts of Facebook everyone, but me, seems to use. I cannot find one to fit me, and I would like more choices. I am sure there are others who also need different relationship status markers. Facebook profiles allow us to personalize the way our content appears to others. You can hide some information for specific people on your list, or share it with everyone.

If I were single, I sure the heck would not use a relationship status as it will invite the spammers, the geeks, freaks and every lonely man around the world. Technically I could use in a relationship, separated (5 yrs now) or married (been married on paper since early 1986). The man I am seeing does not use Facebook, which was a big surprise to me, as these days most everyone uses the website it seems. My relationship status is hidden, and I have no desire to change this.

How about some fun relationship statuses that be made available to us to as our Facebook status.

I would make mine single and not looking if I were still single. There is no relationship status for single and not looking.

I am sure people would like to see one single and looking, this way they can meet people to date. Facebook is the melting pot of the world's best and worst. There is someone for everyone on this website.

I am sure those who are polygamist and the people who have friends with benefits would enjoy having their own special status markers. With these types of relationships, you might need to have the ability to add two or more profile names.Even swingers, would enjoy a special category but perhaps that would fall into the open relationship status.

While they are, at it I can think of at least one that needs to be changed or at least re-worded. The relationship status, which reads it's complicated, seems like a joke. When in a relationship you are in or out, if it's complicated there is no commitment so you're out. Face the music people and don't use this one, it pegs you as a doormat.
