Relax at an Andaz Hotel in London

What is the latest that the Hyatt Hotels and Resorts have to offer? Well, they now offer accommodation in what can only be described as artsy, chic, style-driven and slightly funky properties exotically called Andaz.

At this time Andaz hotels can be found in hip neighborhoods around Los Angeles, Austin, New York and London with more in the pipe-line.

Let's take a brief look at the Andaz properties that are up and running:

ANDAZ LIVERPOOL STREET

This Andaz hotel was the first of its kind and is to be found in London. On arriving at the Andaz Liverpool Street you will walk into the Andaz lounge where you will check in via an Andaz host.

This hotel offers 267 rooms all of which offer a complement of eye-opening elements including furnishings and designs that feature high ceilings and period features. Even though some of the rooms have ornate components which are typical of late Victoriana and some have a more restrained feel they are all united with a distinct sense of modern design.

The Andaz Liverpool Street offers the usual bar and restaurant facilities but also some other less common forms of entertainment. An example of this is the Silent Cinema....here guests wear wireless headphones and watch films on a full size screen in a screening room where they are protected against passing interruptions and noisy talkers.

The London hotel also offers East End Contemporary Art tours. These tours feature local and hard-to-find studios and galleries.

ANDAZ WEST HOLLYWOOD

The Andaz West Hollywood is a 14 story building that was designed by Janson Goldstein LLP, an architecture and interior design firm that is based in New York. This hotel is spectacular featuring a pavilion made from glass, and an eleven foot hand-painted metal disk sculpture by Jacob Hashimoto.

During a stay here you will come across odd details of the West Hollywood way of life which includes many sayings from local celebrities and you will also enjoy spontaneous music performances which are performed by local musicians.

There are 257 guest rooms many of them featuring a glass enclosed sunroom overlooking Sunset Boulevard. All of them feature a fun sitting area that is great for work, rest or play.

One of the popular public spaces is the rooftop terrace that offers a day bed seating and a wonderful heated pool.

ANDAZ WALL STREET

The Andaz Wall Street is due to open later this year and will be the second Andaz property to open in North America. The guest lounge in this Andaz will serve as a communal living room where lounge meets library and light-fare bar.

Each of the 253 guest rooms will feature dark stained oak floors, textured walls and bleached wood accents, large soaking tubs that open into the bedroom.

You will find this Andaz in a building that soars 42 stories above lower Manhattan.

ANDAZ FIFTH AVENUE will be opened in New York next year along with the ANDAZ AUSTIN

Although these hotels are top notch they are still reasonably priced, for example a one night stay in the London Andaz Liverpool Street starts at $183.
