Relax, Donald Trump Likes the Blacks

Derek Odom
"I have a great relationship with the blacks," Donald Trump told Albany's Talk Radio 1300 Thursday. "I've always had a great relationship with the blacks."

So, our newest spectacular presidential candidate is not a racist. Whew! I was thinking for a second that "Trump Tower" was really code for some Klan thing. Wait, what? Okay, why would anyone say what he did? Under any circumstances?

Referring to them as "the blacks" is so 1920s, don't you think? I mean, by saying it like that, he's clearly separating himself from them. It seems, according to his statement, that we have whites and blacks, not just people. I wonder what the rest of "the whites" think about his awe-inspiring, cutting-edge statement? For that matter, I wonder what the blacks think?

I don't know about you, but I'll bet there were probably other things he could have said in order to get this point across. Like, almost anything. While "the rich," "the poor," "the hungry" and so on may work and be socially acceptable, "the blacks" or "the Mexicans" isn't really going to take off well, especially when you are a public figure.

Oh, as a side note, he's disappointed that all the blacks like Obama so much. A staggering 95% of blacks approve of Obama in New York. He is also a little upset that so few of the blacks liked Hilary Clinton, because she did so much for them, and yet received so little of the black vote.

I wonder if this guy lives with the rest of us. Does he watch any TV, other than his own show? Has he ever tuned into BET? He probably has, since he's got such a good relationship with the blacks. Yes, Donald Trump is a regular funk soul brother. That's plain to see, right?

Excellent article. I don't think Trump is the right man for the Republican Presidential nomination. Personally, I prefer Mitt Romney.
