Relax in a Massage Chair

Wake up, go to work, meetings, deadlines, maybe even a confrontation with the boss, co-workers or even clients, then you have the drive home to families and personal commitments and that is just one day. Many of us go through that day after day. Now add in financial problems and political crisis, one has developed a severe form of stress that is partnered along with tight muscles and a blaring headache. A massage is starting to sound good right about now.

Massage has been around since recorded time and possibly before. The Greeks used massage to loosen gladiator's muscles before they were sent to fight. The Chinese used massage to help restore the balance in one's body which is still a practice that is used today. Even Julies Ceaser himself used massage to help him cure his ailments. Every culture has its own from of massage as they knew the effects that massage had on one's body. It was their understanding that massage is good for overall health. People of the past believed that the body can heal itself if a relaxed balance was obtained. Modern medicine has found that stress can adversely affect one's body from trouble sleeping to a weak immune system. A massage can therefore help reduce stress and bring back a healthy body by allowing it to begin healing itself.

A regular massage therapy treatment done by a qualified person can help promote and continue one's health, but there are downsides. Those downsides are the price as well as the time that it can take out of an already busy schedule. The starting price for a quality massage is approximately $90 and it can go up from there. For the price of a few sessions, a shiatsu massage chair is a valuable and good investment on your health.

The technology has vastly improved since the early 1980's when the massage chair was first introduced, gone are the days of a one trick pony show, a massage chair is as competent as its human counterpart. Massage chairs today give the same benefits as a masseur but also has the added advantage, it fits your schedule. Life is already hectic enough for a person, without having to work around someone else's schedule just for a half hour or so of relaxation. A few moments alone in a shiatsu massage chair is good for one's body and state of mind. Shiatsu literally means "finger pressure", thus the massage chair applies the same pressure that a shiatsu masseur applies which in turn open blood flow in the veins and relaxes muscles. Although the chair itself can feel as through it is a large investment at the start. But a few sessions, the chair will begin to feel as it is paying for itself by relieving stress and helping to restore your body's health.

The massage chair fits into a modern décor as it is made of black leather, but once you sit down, you will feel its difference. Four massage rollers flow up and down your spine with increasing pressure before it changes to another style of tapping along your back and shoulders. The chair can be programmed to your personal preference and the higher the price the more that it can be capable of including stretching. The chair if only used for three minutes a day can help give you general pain relief of sore and stiff muscles as well as neck and shoulder pain. For the maximum benefit to be felt, the chair should not be used more than ten to fifteen minutes per day. If the chair is used longer than the programs offer, it will become counter productive and may actually harm or damage the body.

In today's fast pace and stressful life, a few moments in a shiatsu massage chair is the best remedy to help combat stress and let your body start to heal on its own when you cannot make it to a massage appointment. It is always advisable to follow both your doctor's and the chair manufacture's instructions before you start. Let the fingers of the chair take you away to a state of relaxation and may your stress lower and your body heal.
