Relax at Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast in Greenville, South Carolina

Luxurious Accomodations in South Carolina

Business and pleasure travelers can find the ultimate in rest, relaxation and repasts at Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast in Greenville, South Carolina. 302 Pettigru Place is in a quiet, historic residential area. Restaurants, entertainment, shops, the Peace Park, and much more are on Main Street just ten minutes away.

Gardens parallel the walkway up to the front door of the early 1900's era house. Inside you are greeted by comfortable elegance. Lori Donaldson, the owner, or one of the friendly staff will welcome you with an offer of wine and cheese as they show you to your room.

Will it be the exotic African inspired room named the Brass Giraffe? Maybe you are in the Victorian themed Rosamunde? Perhaps it is the Chantilly, decorated in French Country décor or one of the local flavored Carolinian rooms. I stayed in the Chantilly and enjoyed the warm colors, comfortable bed, and cozy atmosphere.

Downstairs there is breakfast waiting at the time you requested. The dining table is set with tableware appropriate to the season. The gourmet meal must be experienced. A huge Apple Pie Waffle with vanilla ice cream was served my first morning along with thick cut bacon, fresh fruit, and a broad choice of beverages. Morning number two was a souffle of rich eggs and cheese seasoned with fresh herbs and all the fixings. Along with the breakfast came great conversation with the staff and other guests. It was like having breakfast with family you didn't know you had.

Other amenities set Pettigru Place apart from other bed and breakfasts. Like most there is cable TV, nicely appointed bathrooms, and sitting rooms supplied with magazines, newspapers and books. Unlike the others, Pettigru Place has a bottomless cookie jar outside the rooms. Yes, a bottomless cookie jar along with fresh coffee and tea. A small refrigerator holds sodas, water and juice in case you get thirsty while relaxing in your room.

Pettigru Place was voted in the top 3 bed and breakfast/inns across the nation by Business Traveler. For four years running it was voted Greenville's favorite getaway destination. A stay of any length will put it right at the top of your list, too.

Now let's talk cost. A bargain. Check out their website at www.pettigruplace.com.
