Relax and Reinvigorate with Candle Therapy

Candles have many uses besides being convenient during a power failure. Candles have been used since ancient times. They have been included in religious ceremonies and practices down through the ages. Candles have been used in healing rituals and to align the body, mind and soul. In fact, the flame of a candle is a metaphor for the soul. It is also believed to be a reflection of the inner self.

Candle therapy can aid one's concentration and help you to focus on manifesting your goals and desires. Candle therapy is beneficial in relieving stress. You can create a serene, relaxing environment through the use of candle therapy. The various color correspondences can be used for specific purposes. For example, you will want to use light blue candles if your goal is general healing or just relaxation. If you are studying and need to improve your concentration you can use yellow candles. If you're looking for love you can focus your intent with pink candles.

Always keep white candles on hand since they may be substituted for any other color. Candles come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Choose what is appropriate for your needs. You can create an atmosphere of peace and contentment with candle therapy. You can also incorporate aromatherapy into your candle therapy by using scented candles. Scents such as apple cinnamon can be invigorating while scents such as vanilla are soothing.

You can use candle therapy in many ways and with other alternative therapies as well. Candle therapy is often used in conjunction with music and color therapy. Candle therapy can affect the charkas and the body's aura. The charkas are the seven energy centers and the aura is the energy field surrounding and emanating from the body. There are specific patterns and color usages to bring about certain healing effects in candle therapy but this also depends upon whether the healing needed is for yourself or someone else. It is best to experiment and find what works best for you. You may also want to use crystals or other semi-precious stones in connection with candle therapy.

Just sitting and meditating on a candle flame can help balance and cleanse the body's energies. Add an inviting scent and soft music if you choose. Do this when you are feeling stress and tension or when your mind is preoccupied with a problem that you are worried about. The meditation can help restore your system to a state of calm and give you a fresh perspective that may help you to see a solution to the problem. Sometimes we need to step outside ourselves by turning within.
