How to increase your own potential, by relaxing, You can do more, be more productive, and feel better by increasing your awareness of what gets you wound-up and unable to relax.
Relaxing, begins with knowing and learning that you can relax. Relaxing, to some, is quite easy. to others, it is not an easy task. We all need to relax, at some point or another.
As research has pointed out, to stretch at your desk or do breathing exercises, which work well, and are great stress relievers , are great tools for relaxing. But, this article is about insights into relaxing.. This article is more about gaining perspective into the stresses that cause the reasons why relaxing can be difficult.
When you are relaxed, you can think clearer and your creativity becomes more effective. Gaining strength and encouragement from with-in. To accomplish whatever you need to and be relaxed and stress free doing it.
With all the stress and stresses in everyday life, relaxing becomes vital.
If you are like me and relaxing isn't quite easy at times, I have complied a list of a few tips and pointers that I have learned, along the way, to stress reduction and relaxing. Keep in mind that the list you create will be your own list about the things that worry, bother, or stress you out the most. This is my list, you can copy it , or, you can create your own.
- I find that if I am near a television or a radio ( If it is too loud), can become very stressful at times. It can cause a headache too. So, I try to avoid being around anything that is too loud. Some like it loud, and that is OK too. Whatever works for you, to reduce your stress level, and help "you" , to relax.
- Wearing headphones, ( for example), for long periods of time, can be stressful. Your hearing can be damaged. Some headsets even give this warning on the packaging. So, it is important to read the label.
- Negative people, or situations can add to the stress level and drain you of your energy. Keeping positive in this situation, helps to keep the stress level low, in turn allowing you, to relax.
- Relocating, or moving, can be a big stress point. Rating very high on the stress meter. Yes, there is a stress meter. Just research stress on the Internet or at your public library. There are all kinds of graphs and charts, on this subject. Some graphs and charts, give points to everyday stresses. Allowing you to add up your points and see just how stressed-out you really are. Moving, for example, gets 10 points on some graphs.
- Arguing is very high on the charts. Avoiding arguing, is best, if at all possible, or talk it out after you have thought about things and are more relaxed.
- Bills and debts, now a days, are quite the stress point for some and avoiding them doesn't help either. Go on a budget and get your finances in order. This can help put your financial picture on paper. Relieving the doubts about where your money is going.
- Take a long relaxing walk. Great for the body and mind. Whatever technique you already use.to relax, (only being aware), that you are doing it, to relax.
- I use meditation techniques some times, to relax. There are many books on this subject. Meditation and yoga can be a very interesting topic too. In some books you will find many pointers on stress relief and relaxing. The yoga positions, the meditation techniques, are all useful tools, on learning how to relax and be stress free. Books on yoga and whole medicine techniques for relaxing, have great insight on what causes stress and not being able to relax. These books can be informative, and have many insights on relaxing and stress reduction.
- Of course, exercise, eating well, and drinking enough water all contribute to staying healthy, stress free and aid in relaxing. Some people relax with a cup of tea, maybe decaffeinated, maybe not, whatever helps to wind down after a stressful day.
- Have some fun, call an old friend. or help that neighbor in need. Stay in tune with the things that are stressing you out and try to avoid them.
Stress and relaxing are two very important issues, we sometimes overlook. Finding ways to reduce stress and relax, will help. Learning about what relaxes you, what gets you stressed, can be a starting point for the ultimate goal of complete relaxation. To live a somewhat, relaxed, stress free life, is the ultimate goal.
These tips and pointers can give you some insight into, your own way of reducing stress and becoming more relaxed. Compile a list of your own, of the things that get you wound-up or irritable. This can be a starting point to see what it is, that really stresses you out and what keeps you from being relaxed.
Tack the list somewhere where you can see it everyday, l earn from it.,and try to avoid the things that are stressful, Instead, do something that helps you relax.
