If you're looking for ways to help cancer patients, there are many such opportunities.

One person delivers weekly meals to the family of her friend who's going through chemotherapy.

As of today 60 teams were registered for the annual Relay for Life Fort Worth, Texas presented by the American Cancer Society which takes place April 9-10 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Farrington Field.

You can always volunteer or join one of the numerous teams walking in the Relays for Life being held all over the country right now.

Remember people such as Audrey Flynn of Jacksonville, FL who passed away after a battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Bridgewater, MA Jan.1, 1935, Flynn was the valedictorian of her high school.

Relay for Life of Northwest Tarrant County-Saginaw follows the Fort Worth event April 16 starting at 6 p.m. at 5805 W. Bailey-Boswell Road at Boswell High School. The event ends the next morning at 6 a.m. also. The Cancer Crushers is one elementary school team that will participate in the fundraiser this year.

People like non-smoker Carrie Robertson who died last year after battling lung cancer has been honored with a short write-up in a community magazine.

On April 17, Relay for Life of Northeast Tarrant County begins at 7 p.m. and ends the next morning at 7 a.m. at 500 N. Industrial Boulevard in Euless, TX at Trinity High School.

Shelley Lynn Aboud lost her battle with lymphoma after a year-and-a-half of being diagnosed.

"Born to Lebanese parents on Jan. 4, 1954, Shelley was raised in Tucson, Arizona," states LC Magazine. "In 1976 Shelley graduated with distinction form the University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in speech communication, and then in 1978 she earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the university's College of Law."

Remembered also is Ana Sisnett, who passed away Jan. 13 a year ago at her home in Austin, Texas, after a three-year fight with ovarian cancer.

"Born in Panama on Nov. 5, 1952, Ana grew up in Barbados and Jamaica, and moved to Los Angeles at age 13," states an announcement. "From 1998 to 2006 Ana was the executive director of Austin Free-net, a local nonprofit that seeks to ensure everyone has access to technology by offering free Internet service and classes at more than 40 sites around Austin."

Sisnett's partner of 11 years, Priscilla Hale said: "Ana had an amazing passion for human rights service and work, which is reflected in every aspect of her life."
