Reliable J490A IronMaven Home Ironing System Review

Ironing can be a boring, time consuming task. The Reliable J490A IronMaven Home Ironing System is a new type of iron that uses pressure to get the steam into your clothes to significantly reduce your ironing time. The product is quite pricy for an iron at $389, but if you spend a lot of time ironing it may be worth it in the time you save.

This is the same type of system used by dry cleaners to iron large amounts of clothes quickly. While it is more expensive than a traditional iron, it seems to be high quality and will last for longer than many of the cheaper versions on the market. The iron works by using dry steam to get rid of wrinkles. The steam softens the fabric fibers and the weight of the iron flattens it out.

The device does need to be filled with water, but it uses Continuous Steam System technology so that you do not need to wait for the water to heat up constantly. However, it does take a little while to heat up once you first turn it on. The iron has indicators to show when the water is low and an anti-calc warning system to tell you when it needs to be cleaned. I especially like that there is a steam-activation button which allows you to use the iron as a steamer on hanging clothes.

While this product does iron faster than usual, it is very heavy and more tiring. Also, the handle is made out of cork and isn't a comfortable shape to hold for a long time. It keeps your wrist at an awkward angle. The generator that the iron sits on makes a lot of noise for an iron. The iron has a much stronger flow of steam than a regular iron. You will need to be careful the first few times you use it until you get used to it so that you do not burn yourself.

There is an automatic shut-off to help prevent burns from occurring.Overall, I would suggest this iron if you do a lot of ironing. The iron works great on thicker fabrics such as denim which is hard to do with a regular iron. If you only do a couple shirts and pairs of pants a week, it might not be worth it. However, if you are a person who irons everything it will save you a lot of time in the long run.
