Religious Christmas Cards

Christmas is around the corner, and if your like me, you may be shopping for the perfect Christmas card already. It is hard not to get into an early Christmas spirit, as the stores have already put up their displays of Christmas trees, and decorations. We all buy cards that reflect our personality, some people send funny cards, simple country designs, and other like to stick to the traditional religious card. I put together a list of five places of retailers, and e-retailers who have a wide variety of religious Christmas cards.

1.www.christianbookstore.com : Christian Book Store, is a e- retailer, where I buy gifts and cards for several people in my family, as they are very religious people. On the home page, click on the Christmas store. and from there, you can find over 59 pages of cards. There is a card section with KJV verses if you prefer. The cards range in price from $9.99 and lower, but are marked down $4.99 and as low as $1.99. The designs are from the traditional to cards with angel folk art. There is one card that touched me, and I have already purchased it, is the Baby Jesus When You Dream card. It has a little child kneeling, with hands held up in prayer, next to baby Jesus, and the phrase is touching "Baby Jesus When You Dream, Do you see the world redeemed, a planet free from hate and war, Where need and hunger are no more. Baby Jesus Through your birth, help us to renew the earth, to find our innocence again, and share your peace with all all, Amen." The inside has a small inscription of Luke 1:68. Most of the cards at this store come is 12 count but there is many at 18 count, and they offer a discount for buying 3 packages or more.

2.www.inhisname.com : In His Name e store, offers only eight pages of Christmas cards. The prices range from a high of $188.00 for their deluxe card set of 100 with gold foil, to the low price of $6.49 on clearance. The card designs are extraordinary from, traditional writing on the outside, Christmas tree, folk art, to mother Mary and baby Jesus. The one card here I liked is the Mary carrying baby Jesus and a lamb on the outside, and on the inside it reads "May the Blessings of Christ be with you now and throughout the New Year. Merry Christmas, What can I give Him, Poor as I am? If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb; If I were a Wise Man I would do my part- Yet what can I give Him, Give my Heart." The cards at this e-retailer comes in box set of 20 and 25, or 100 for the deluxe box sets.

3.www.wcchristmascards.com : Though this site only offers 6 designs, in a modern religious form, for the price of $20, they also ask for a donation. With this donation, you are helping the CRISTA Ministries. What is it that they do? They have a four star rating according to the charity navigator, and their work is to provide "relief from poverty with child sponsorships, agriculture projects, and clean water projects, medicine and more." Your card purchases are tax deductible, but only a portion of your purchase, "by multiplying the number of card packages purchased time $10, and subtracting the sum from the total donation." This is a one stop shop for Christmas cards and a donation to a worthy cause.

4.www.cardsdirect.com : This site allows you to buy your cards in quantity, of 25, 50, and 100. It is more costly, but the cards are a higher quality and come with gold lined envelopes. You can choose from 4 categories as angels, nativity, three wise men, and Madonna and child. The prices can range for 25 cards $59.00 and up depending on the style and more detail such as gold embossed foiling. You can edit the verse, and choose your color ink from gold foil, blue foil, to different color inks, as well as the script font.

5.Hallmark : There is a Hallmark just about every where you look. They do carry box sets of religious cards, although not as many as the e retailers listed above. But if you belong to Hallmarks Crown Rewards, you may have received your reward coupon in the mail for additional savings. The prices range from $9.99 and up. I found this to be true for other stores, who sell box sets such as Walgreen's, Rite Aid, and many grocers. The local drug store, is perfect for those who do not want to buy on line, or really do not want to pay higher prices and shipping.

What ever website or store you decide to purchase your Christmas cards from, I am sure the receiver of your card will be touched, as the variety and options for personalization of these religious cards are many. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas, and remember the reason for the season.
