Hate Crimes Legislation Passes

With the simple stroke of a pen, President Barack Hussein Obama signed into law the 2010 Defense Funding Bill. Contained in this legislation is the Hate Crimes legislation. Both became law today, October 28, at approximately 3 p.m.

The revisions that were made to the Hate Crimes legislation have been embroiled in a very long, heated, controversial debate between its proponents and those who vehemently speak out against it. One of the changes to this legislation is the addition of protecting homosexuals against so-called "hate crimes."

When President Obama signed the legislation into law, he ushered in a new test of faith for Christians in the United States of America who preach against the sin of homosexuality in all forms of communication, including preaching from the pulpit. It is only a matter of time when we will begin to see the effects of this legislation and how the homosexual community will use it in order to silence those who preach against their lifestyle.

More details about this extremely important issue will be posted in due time.

Yes, Christians will be tested in their faithfulness to God by preaching and teaching the Holy Scriptures and by doing it in love. Compromise is not an option, truth in love is. There will be more and more of these "tests" as history folds and God prepares to rescue us from the evil. Until He does, we must be "overcomers" at taught in Revelation, keeping the faith and enduring.
