Many people, even fans of the Final Fantasy series, may not remember this game as the 6th game in the series. Well, here in the states, it was originally released as Final Fantasy 3 on Nintendo's Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I remember spending hours on end sitting in front of my tv playing this game. I would have to say that, in this writers opinion, this game was the best in the series at the time.

For all of those people like me who spent hours playing Final Fantasy 3, you can now take the game with you on the go on Nintendos Gameboy Advance, with the re-released version called Final Fantasy VI Advance.

Graphics and Audio (17/25)

The graphics on this game although have a slight tweaking, are the exact same graphics from the original version of the game. The graphics, though, are still magnificent. These graphics are beautiful and really draw the player into the game.

The audio on this game as well is the same as in the original. The audio, however, is magnificent. The music really can and will draw the player into the story of the game. Whether it be the music from the final boss battle or the music from the town of Zozo it is truely atmospheric and inthralling.

Gameplay (22/25)

Although the game is basically the same exact game as the original there are a few added components that really make the gameplay better. The addition of new Espers (Magical beings) for instance really adds a new flare to the magic system.

Also, the addition of the two new dungeons, The Dragons Den and The Soul Shrine add some more playability and fun to the game even after beating the initial game.

Creativity (13/25)

The only thing saving the creativity rating of this game is the addition of the new Espers and the new dungeons. Without these things, the game itself wouldn't be all that creative.

Fun (23/25)

Although, as previously stated, this game is pretty much the same exact game, it is still a fun game to play. Even if they would have just released the original game with no changes on the Gameboy Advance, it still would have been a fun game to play.

Overall

Overall this game is a great addition to the Final Fantasy franchise. Anyone who is a follower of the franchise or just a lover of role-playing games should definitely pick this title up.
