Rembrandt Whitening Strips: Noticeably Working Whitening System

I have been looking for an affordable way to whiten my teeth for quite a while. My dentist suggested I use their system, of course, but I didn't want to drop the few hundred bucks to get it. My teeth are not that bad. After all, I don't smoke, I don't drink coffee, and I really don't drink much soda pop. I have tried Crest Whitestrips before and liked the results, but the fourteen day routine didn't appeal to me this go round. Crest has the strips now that's supposed to take about half the time of the regular Whitestrips, but they are kind of pricey. I am familiar with Rembrandt products, but I had not heard of their teeth whitening systems. When I found a coupon in the paper, I decided to check it out at the store.

I found the collection of Rembrandt Whitening products easily among all the other whitening products, and was surprised by how much lower the price was compared to the others. They offer a seven day whitening system for just under $20. My five dollar coupon brought the price down to a very affordable $15. I was still a little skeptical though. There was no guarantee on the box to assure me that the product actually worked. Also, no where on the box was information to inform me of how long the whitening affect would last. Two things encouraged me to go ahead and try it, the price and the name. Rembrandt has been around for quite a while, so I figured it had to be a decent product.

The whitening strips come in a white, paper like container, with a green plastic lid. The packaging is very simple. There is a single R in a green block in the upper, center part of the front of the box. Below the R, is the product name and the flavor of the strips. Printed across the bottom is the promise to visibly lighten and brighten teeth in just five days, using the product only once a day. There are seven upper teeth strips and seven lower teeth strips. The back of the box has the usual warnings along with the note to wear the strips for thirty minutes once a day. For better results, use for seven days.

Before trying the product, I read the included booklet and was happy to see that there is a performance guarantee. They promise that you will have brighter teeth within five days with proper use of the product, or they will refund your money within two months of purchase. That made me happy. The booklet also stated that your new brighter smile should last about six months. It only whitens natural teeth too. So, if you have any dental work, you will need to consult your dentist before using the product.

The upper and lower strips are clearly marked in separate packages inside the main box. Even though there are seven sets of each strip, you are only required to use five of each to see a brighter smile. After rinsing my mouth with water for fifteen seconds, I applied the upper whitening strip, followed directly by the bottom one. I checked the clock, made a mental note of the time, then went about my usual nighttime routine.

I found it hard to speak accurately with the whitening strips on. I also found it hard not to bite down on them. I had to place my tongue between my teeth for part of the time to keep from biting constantly. They have an almost waxy feel to them, which of course is kind of chewy. I continuously pressed the strip against my teeth to make sure the whitener was getting to my teeth. When the thirty minutes was up, I was happy to take them off.

I rinsed my mouth again for fifteen seconds, then began removing the whitening strips. The booklet had stated that some of the strip might stick to your teeth after you remove it, so I wasn't surprised to see little chunks of clear gel on my teeth. It's not completely easy to remove, but it definitely comes off. I always followed each whitening session with brushing my teeth.

The end result? While my teeth aren't sparkling when I smile, or blindingly white, they are definitely noticeably brighter. If you are looking for a whitening product that will get your teeth a couple shades whiter, Rembrandt Whitening Strips will work for you. I do believe that I would purchase these whitening strips again.
