Remedy Life Magazine Calls Overweight People Stupid

Angel
I had never read Remedy Life magazine until this year when I got a 3 year subscription for free. I was excited to get a new magazine that seemed to be sponsored very well, and even considered "award winning."

The very first Remedy Life magazine on page six, I saw something that caught my eye. A picture of a scale, and the text "Yikes! Belly fat equals smaller brains and higher of Alzheimer's" I get fed up with "fat, or overweight" people being considered stupid, because I find it to be the complete opposite. So this already had my feathers in a ruffle, so I made sure to read the article above the image, (located here in the picture.) It reads:

"Pill Magic - Taking vitamin D just might make you immune to sniffles, aches and pains." This had nothing whatsoever to do with the image, in fact, nothing on the page did. The image with the text "Yikes! Belly fat equals smaller brains and higher of Alzheimer's" appeared to be a completely random series of wording placed on the magazine to do nothing more then to piss people off. There was no text offered with it, just the insult that overweight people are stupid! No facts, no quotes of where they got this information, nadda!

Keep in mind this was my first impression of Remedy Life magazine, which I now have lost all respect for this so called "award winning" health magazine. I wonder if it's award winning because instead of offering any kind of facts, it offers insults to make you do something about your weight. Never thought of that kind of motivation, which it didn't motivate me, only to write this, and let others know.

1, Remedy Life Magazine lies, 2, Remedy Life Magazine calls overweight people stupid, 3, Remedy Life Magazine has no respect for their readers and offers no facts to back up their insults. 4, Overweight people aren't stupid! Just like gays face bully's so do overweight people, they just aren't in the news as much because their suicides often go unnoticed. Self esteem is an issue with anyone that has been bullied. And with magazines like Remedy Life getting away with calling overweight people stupid, only adds to the problem. Insulting even without knowing it, can be a form of bullying, and I wouldn't be too surprised when Remedy Life is called out for this. I look forward to Remedy Life addressing this issue someday, SOON.
