Remember My Child

Remember My Child

With just the two Hands of God,
He formed us a living joy,
With clay from your body and mine,
He formed us a child of love,

But, that dear, sweet, child of ours,
Did not see this big, wide, world,
Just six weeks before she was
to be born,
God gave her a better home,
He took her away from me,
God took her away from me;

There must have been reasons
why she was born,
Good reasons, she never
reached my arm,
God took her away, up high,
To live with the Angels
above the sky;

So, if you still care for me,
If you still hold love in your heart
for me,
Just remember my child, will you,
She would have been your
child too;

I don't understand the sorrows
I've seen,
Don't understand the world
I live in,
But, there must have been reasons
why she was born,
Good reasons she never reached our arms,

God took her away
Up! High!
She's now with the Angels
beyond the sky.

    I'm sorry for your loss. This is a beautiful poem and I share your belief that she is with God in Heaven to serve a Higher purpose. My prayers are with you as you try to heal.
