Some give a lot some give all
Leaving behind all they know
Scorching in desserts, freezing in snow
No one can say any are braver
No one mightier,a camouflage savior
Men like no other, sons and brothers
Standing tall not running for cover
America of your sons you can be proud
Even when rowdy and hollering loud
America your daughter's vision is clear
Not forced into service, proud volunteers
Whether the politics you do agree
Remember your soldiers keep you free
Don't gather up at airline gates
To do anything but appreciate
For those whose lives are surely gone
Immortalize them in verse or song
Cry out aloud your love in reverent awe
Thanking God you'll never see what they saw

Thank you for your sincere compliment, that you would send it to a friend is indeed flattering.
Wow! That was powerful. I have a friend in South Korea right now, he's been BOG for 2 years in Iraq. I think I'll send this to him.
