Games like frogger and pacman
A show called Jem and the Holograms
We wore fluorescents and pastels
And lacy white ankle socks
Born in the USA made us all rock
We played TV tag and watched the Smurfs
Punky Brewster was all the girls' hero
Max Headroom told us to drink diet coke
There was no coke zero
Girls feathered there bangs and wore frosted blue eyeshadow
Jordache jeans and high heels were the styles we'd wear
We even tried doing the Care Bear stare
The girls drooled for New Kids on the Block
Oh how they have changed to our modern day rock
Garbage Pail Kids cards were our favorite collections
Oh how I cherish my 80's recollections
