When I think if Christmas
I close my eyes and smile
I go back to being little
for just a little while
I close my eyes and smile
I go back to being little
for just a little while
I think of Grandma's cake
and Grandpa's pocketknife
I see so many faces
I'm so thankful for life
I remember Mom being busy
tending to each and every kid
each detail perfect in every way
that's just how she did
Dad would work late
but on Christmas Eve night
He got off a little early
to all our delight
I miss my brothers and sisters
and not just to make this rhyme
I wish we could do it all over again
just one more time.
