Remembering Our Military Men and Women at Christmas

Mary E. Coe
Our prayers go out to all the military and civilians that volunteered their time and put their lives on hold and in harms way to serve their country. We haven't forgotten you. we appreciate all that you are going through. We commend you. I ask for everyone to take a few moments out of their holiday planning and busy Christmas shopping to salute you and say a silent prayer for you and your loved ones. We understand all that you do, can't imagine all that you go through. You are not forgotten; we pray for you, we can never forget you or what you do.

We wish you find comfort and hope this Christmas season. God love reigns down on you. Sometimes it may feel that you are alone. But you are not alone. Even when you're caught up in the most severe storm; or in your darkest hour; God is always beside you, He is always there to guide you. Trust in Him. He will always see you through. In your darkest moments, hold on to faith and hope; don't ever give up. Remember on Christmas morning, God sent His only beloved Son, Jesus, to suffer and die for us. Some times it seems we walk alone, not true, God is always watching over us.

In the mall today, I was walking in back of a grandmother, when her cell phone rang. From the conversation, I gathered she was speaking to her grandson. I believe he was inquiring about a Nintendo Wii. She said, grandson, I'm trying to find it. I just left one long line I'm on my way to another. Don't call me. Just pray, yes, I need you to pray that I find your Nintendo Wii. I said to myself, doesn't she know that God has more important prayers to listen to? After Christmas there will be plenty of Wiis, I'm asking my kids to pray for you, who are serving overseas.

This Christmas day, we wish you love, and peace and comfort and joy. We wish for that glorious day when you are back home. And on that day we wish that our government and all Americans will embrace you and give you all the respect and honor that you deserve. To all the people serving their country; civilians and in uniforms, we appreciate you, we salute you, we wish God be with you and we wish you love and hope on this Christmas Day. You can't imagine how many thousands and thousands of us that are supporting you.

C hrist was born; He suffered and died for us
H e will always be there for us
R egardless of our sins, He still love us
I n Christ, we will always find
S alvation, hope, peace and love
T rust in Him; pray to Him on this
M eaningful, blessed, joyous
A nd
S pecial Christmas Day, He will hear you.

Have a blessed Christmas Day.

Loved the way each letter of Christmas was used in the poem at the end. Very good.

What a wonderful article! To any military men and women who can't be with their families this Christmas: We love and support you for all you do, and you are very much appreciated - on the holidays as well as every hour and every minute of each day. May you have a wonderful celebration when you return home. Keep in mind, we can celebrate any time of the year! God bless you and keep you safe.
