REMEMBERING PATRICK SWAYZE

August 18, 1952 - September 14, 2009

J.C. JORDAN
Heartthrob Patrick Swayzedied today at age 57 from Pancreatic Cancerwith his family surrounding him. Patrick was born in Texas; his father was a rodeo cowboy and his mother a dancer with her own dance company. It was from his mother that Patrick learned to dance.

It was just about a year ago that we first heard that Patrick was suffering from this very deadly form of cancer. He made a valiant effort to fight the cancer by continuing to work on "The Beast", a dramatic series for A&E while undergoing treatment.

Patrick Swayze was a star of stage and screen. While Patrick had a wide and varied body of work he rose to stardom with "Dirty Dancing" opposite Jennifer Grey and "Ghost" opposite Demi Moore. Some of his other films included "Red Dawn", "The Outsiders", "Skatetown USA", and "Youngblood". On Broadway he played Danny Zuko in Grease.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years and his children. He is also survived by two brothers and two adopted sisters. We've lost another icon too young and too soon. Our hearts go out to his family. Rest in peace Patrick you will be missed. We love you
