I drove fast home but safe enough not to get a ticket. I dashed over tot eh computer and waited for it to load up. I waited, one minute. Waited another minute. System error comes on the machine. I shut the computer down, rebooted and I was finally ready to access the web and check the Vin number at Carfax. The car came out clean. I gathered my important documents went to the bank and headed for the dealership. Traffic was against me, to get to my car, my Sephia I said to myself.
When I arrived at the dealership, the Kia was there. I got the car and left. Months later, I am driving my car to and from for college, from one state to the next. I purchased the car with 48,000 miles and close to her death I had 117,0000.
I started noticing problems with the sounds she made on the highway and that ended up being a four hundred dollar problem. We purchased a new set of tires and then got a new CV boot installed. Then things started going downhill more. The Sephia was not getting good power like she use to . I took her to get a complete check up with a tune up and oil change. I took her home and she began to shake as if I was taking her rooting in the back woods of South Carolina. The check engine light came on and stayed on after getting to reevaluated by a mechanic. Then within a 48 hour timeframe the starter caught on fire, I had to get a tow and paid another five hundred dollars for a new started installation while the shaking and misfire remains. The Kia is dead. I have to live with that fact, I can not put more money into this car that is not worth more than 1,000 dollars. However, she has been there through vacation trips, numerous day trips and daily commutes. My sweet Kia Sephia, dead.
