Remote Control Planes - Trainers

runner1234
Remote control planes are as varied as the cars you drive. They come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Depending on the skill level of the person controlling the plane they can do very simple maneuvers such as left, right, up, and down or for the more experienced controller the planes can do flips, twists, and land on a dime. However, remote control planes are not as simple as remote control cars as most people would assume. You cannot get a remote control plane and fly it right out of the box. There will be crashes and it will take quite a bit of time and effort until the controller is confident in their abilities. This being said remote control airplanes can be an expensive hobby.

For most people starting out they are recommended to learn how to control a remote control plane using a trainer airplane just how pilots of life size planes learn to fly. Using this training aircraft the remote control plane controller will learn basic piloting and navigation skills required to safely operate their remote control plane. These training aircraft are usually very cheap and some can even be bought for under $30. The key to picking out a good remote control plane training aircraft is to buy one that is relatively small and preferably electric. Choosing a small remote control plane gives you the advantage of being more maneuverable and having less aircraft pieces to break off. Choosing an electric remote control plane gives you the advantage of quickly charging your remote control plane without having to deal with fuel and glow plugs. If you are not familiar with glow plugs do not be enticed by their name. Glow plugs are for much more advanced users. Also, statistically electrical remote control planes are usually much cheaper than other types.

2 Remote Control Beginner Aircraft For Under $30

The most popular and cheapest remote control aircraft is the AeroAce Bi-plane. This is an electric remote control airplane. However instead of containing a nickel battery like almost all other remote control vehicles it contains a lithium battery. This doubles and even triples your flight time capabilities. Also, they are easy to fix and modify since they are made out of a foam type material. This plane goes for around $30 but can be bought on Ebay or other online sites for much cheaper.

Air Hogs Red Defender is another remote control aircraft for beginners for under $30. Yes, this is mostly marketed for children and is considered a toy, but that does not mean it is a bad remote control plane. Trainers are meant to simply teach pilots the basics and then the pilot is expected to switch to a more advanced model. Why not learn on something cheap and easy to get a hold of.

These are just two cheap training remote control aircraft and there are many more at online shops. The best advice when buying a remote control aircraft is to read up about it and ask at hobby shops what would be the best for you.
