Remove Programs You Don't Use Anymore to Make Your Computer Run Faster

Another way to make your system more efficient is to remove programs from your computer, that way they don't waste resources that could be used for programs you still use. Just as how your cache (cookies, history, temporary files) can affect your computer's speed so can having too many programs. If you have a hard drive that is full of junk such as programs that you don't use anymore then delete them. It doesn't make sense to keep programs that you don't use anymore as it's just taking up your computers resources as well as hard drive space. If your ram ever needs to use your pagefile memory (which is located in your hard drive) and your hard drive is full then it's speed is going to be greatly reduced making it slower than it already is.

Another good thing about removing programs from your computer is that it may be included in your computers startup. By removing this one program your are not only freeing up hard drive space, but your also freeing up ram as your using less startup services.

1.)First, click on start and then click on control panel

2.)Now double click on the add or remove programs icon

3.)Make sure your on the change or remove programs tab and allow a few seconds for your computer to display your current programs you have installed

4.)Now just choose the programs that you don't use anymore and click on the remove button

5.)When you have done this with all the programs on the list that you don't need your finished

To recap having too many programs on your computer can cause your system to have to work harder which results in slower speeds and performance. By removing unneeded programs that you don't use anymore you free up hard drive space as well as the possibility of removing startup services. When these services are gone from your computer your processor and ram will "thank you" by running faster and more efficient since it's processing and reading less items. Remember some files in this area are security features on your computer so be sure not to remove any files with update or hotfix as well as others. If your unsure about a program, research it to see if you can remove it or just leave it alone. It's better to have a computer that works then one that doesn't.
