The reason being I hate when my computer takes forever to load and and occasionally freezing. By disabling these graphics I can make my computer load only the important files and services I need while maximizing my systems overall performance at the cost of graphics. So once you have decided on what you want to do follow the next few steps to disable visual effects which in turn will increase speed on your computer. Before you decide to begin it's always a good idea to create a system restore point just in case you want to easily switch back to your previous settings.
1.)Click on start
2.)Now right click on the my computer icon and a drop down box will appear, from there click on properties
3.)A new window will appear so select the advanced tab
4.)Under this tab click on the settings button under the box that says performance
5.)Now in this new window that has just popped up click on the option that says "adjust for best performance" then click apply and then ok
6.)It should ask you to restart your computer and when you do you should notice a tremendous change at how fast your system loads.
After you reboot your system after applying these changes watch at how fast your system is once it loads the operating system. If you have a lot of programs that start up with the operating system then they will load a lot faster. This works by allowing your computer's processor and ram to focus on other services and programs within your computer without having to build or draw the flash graphics on your system. This results in faster startup speeds as well as overall performance, speed, and stability.
