Removing Warts from Hands

If you happen to have warts on your hands or fingers, there's a couple of steps you can take to remove them before scheduling to have them surgically removed. The common wart is a type of the HPV (Human
Papilloma Virus). The old myths of catching warts from frogs is actually true according to medical findings. They can also be passed from direct contact with a person that has them. It is also said that they can be spread from
hands and fingers to the genitals. The wart is basically an HPV affected area of the skin that causes the skin of the infected area to grow faster than the surrounding skin, causing the raised area which is the wart itself.

** Removing warts from hands with finger nail polish **

While these have not been tested and verified to be 100% true, some people

with warts on their hands have tried putting clear fingernail polish on the wart

itself. This is said to 'smother' the wart and cause it to die and fall off. Clear

polish is used so that its more inconspicuous.

** Removing warts from hands with Duct tape **

Another way that has been tried with success is cutting out a piece of duct

tape and covering the wart for 10 days. At the end of the day it is said that

scrubbing the wart with a pumice stone helps to increase the success of

removing the wart from the hand.

** Removing warts from hands using Krud Kutter **

Krud Kutter is a chemical that is used to remove stains. It's used to remove

dried latex paint, chewing gum, glue etc. A personal experience with a

friend who had several warts on his hand was using this to wash some paint

off his hand and the next day noticed the warts going away. He said they

had been there over 2 years and this was the first time he'd used this stuff

and was sure it was a direct cause for removing the warts.

** Removing the warts with OTC methods **

There are several products that you can purchase over the counter at

drugstores that are helpful in removing warts from hands. Some are similiar

to the 'smother' method, some freeze them away and some are creams that

you put on them.
