Great Plains Spring/Fall Renaissance Festival - Located approximately 140 miles southwest of Topeka in Wichita, Kansas at the Sedgwick County Park. This fair holds both a spring and fall celebration. The spring event will be held one weekend in mid-April of 2008 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. The fall fair will be held September 29th -30th. Parking will be free. Tickets will be approximately $10 for adults and $3.00 for kids ages 12 and under. Those who wish to dress in costume will be required to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. Visitors will enjoy fine medieval entertainment such as exciting jousting, hilarious comedic acts, enchanting music, exotic dancing, and much more. Kansas City Renaissance Festival - Located approximately 20 miles west of Kansas City in Bonner Springs, Kansas. This fair will be held weekends, Labor Day and Columbus Day September 1st - October 14th from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. The Front Gate ceremony will begin at 9:45 am. Parking will be free. Tickets will be $16.95 for adults, $7.95 for kids ages 5 - 12, and free for children ages 4 and under. Those wishing to dress in period attire will not be allowed weapons of any kind. This fair features themed weekends including Vulgarians Attack, Flights of Fancy, Dancing Sheik to Sheik, Celtic Crimes of Fashion, Golden Truffles, Three Sheets to the Wind, and Flutterbyes and Lovebirds. Bridgewater Renaissance Faire - Located approximately 186 miles south of Topeka in Baxter Springs, Kansas. This fair will be held September 29th from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. Parking will be free. Tickets will be $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 3 - 11, and free for children ages 2 and under. Those who choose to dress in costume will not be permitted to carry weapons of any kind. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. Visitors can celebrate the medieval times with marvelous music, delightful dancing, and many more performances. Vendors will be offering several artistic crafts.
