Celtic Festival of Southern Maryland - Located approximately 47 miles south of Annapolis in St. Leonard, Maryland. Maryland Faerie Festival - Located approximately 23 miles west of Annapolis in Upper Marlboro, Maryland at the Patuxent 4H Center. This fair will be held May 19th - 20th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. There will be a parking fee of $3 per vehicle. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $3 for kids ages 3 - 11, and free for children ages 3 and under. Attendees can receive $1 discount for dressing in costume, but note that no weapons will be allowed. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. This fantastical twist on a medieval festival features wonderful musicians, talented dancers, skilled jugglers, entertaining magicians, engaging storytellers, and much more. Vendors will be offering cold ice cream, delicate funnel cakes, refreshing teas and coffees, as well as art, books, jewelry, clothing, pottery, bath products, and of course fairy wings. Maryland Renaissance Festival - Located approximately 8 miles west of Annapolis in Crownsville, Maryland. This fair will be held weekends August 25th - October 21st including Monday September 3rd from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. Tickets will be $18 for adults, $15 for seniors ages 62 and older, $8 for kids ages 7 - 15, and free for children ages 6 and under. Labor Day September 3rd will be Senior Day when all seniors ages 62 and older will be admitted free. Wedding reservations are available. Themed weekends include August 25th - 26th: Children's Weekend when all kids ages 11 and under will be admitted free; September 8th - 9th: Celtic Celebration including special entertainment; September 22nd - 23rd: Adventure Weekend with piratical fun for all ages; October 6th - 7th: Oktoberfest! German-inspired revelry; October 20th - 21st: Chivalry Weekend with special romantic treats. Several performers will delight visitors while merchants will be selling fine items such as wooden toys, jewelry, weapons, clothing, musical instruments, and armor.
