Renaissance Fairs in Nevada and Utah

Good morrow, my lords and ladies! Let me tell you of the wondrous adventures to be had at a renaissance fair! There are a number to attend in Nevada and Utah.

Pembrooke Renaissance Faire - This fair will be held in Carson City, Nevada at the State Fair Grounds Fuji Park May 19th - 20th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Sunday. Tickets will be $12 for adults, $5 for seniors and students with ID, $6 for kids ages 6 - 11 and free for children ages 5 and under. There is a coupon available on the website. Those wishing to dress in period attire will be required to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Visitors can watch impressive blacksmith demonstrations, listen to engaging music and storytelling, laugh at outrageous comedy and juggling, and much more. Vendors will be on hand selling wonderful handcrafted items such as jewelry, leather goods, bath products, armor, and clothing. Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival - This fair will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Sunset Park October 12th - 14th from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Sunday. Parking will be free. Ticket will be $10 for adults and $5 for seniors ages 60 and older and kids. The onsite box office will accept cash only; no credit cards or checks. Those who wish to dress in costume must keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. There will be certain policies to follow regarding what is allowed inside the fair. Attendees are permitted to carry a personal bottle of water and a still camera with no video capability. No re-entry will be allowed. Sensational jousting, remarkable blacksmithing demonstrations, and a dazzling array of musical styles will delight young and old. Utah Renaissance Festival and Fantasy Faire - Located approximately 20 miles north of Salt Lake City in Layton City, Utah. This fair will be held May 11th - 13th and 18th - 20th from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Parking will be free. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and kids ages 5 - 12 and free for children under 5 years old. Those who choose to dress in period style will need to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. Entertainment will include thrilling jousts, fascinating music, astonishing magic shows, and more. Utah Midsummer Renaissance Festival - Located in Cedar City, Utah, This fair will be held July 11th - 14th from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm. Parking and admission will be free. Those who wish to dress in costume will be required to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. No alcohol will be sold or permitted. Picnics will be allowed. Dogs are permitted as long as they are on leash or harness only. This recreation of a medieval marketplace; including merchants, entertainment, games, and activities; is great fun for all ages.
