North Carolina Renaissance Faire - Located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Outer Banks Medieval Faire - Located approximately 33 miles southeast of Elizabeth City in Jarvisburg, North Carolina at the Weeping Radish Brewery. This fair will be held June 9th - 10th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3 - 11, and free for children ages 2 and under. Those wishing to dress up will need to obtain a weapons permit and keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Exciting human chess matches, expert falconry, engaging music and fascinating re-enactments will delight young and old. Taste of Scotland - Located approximately 68 miles southwest of Asheville in Franklin, North Carolina at the Scottish Tartans Museum. This street festival will be held June 16th from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. Admission and parking will be free. A children's area with highland games and activities will be open from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Entertainment throughout the day will include a parade of Tartans, variety of Celtic music and dancing, border collie demonstrations, and contests.
